Key dates:
Our Pack campout has been rescheduled to Saturday, September 17th. We'll be going camping as a pack to the Leroy Oakes in St. Charles (new location). Please be sure to sign up at the pack meeting or contact Dan Kamp, our outings chair.
Raingutter Regatta! This year's Raingutter Regatta will be held at the Bartlett Gazebo Apple Orchard Park Shelter. Bring your boat and a friend. (Each boy should have received your boat by now--check with your Den leader.)
See attached flier for more information.
On August 13, 2011, scouts, parents, and siblings of Pack 26 are going to visit the USS Cobia Submarine, a WWII vessel, tour the museum, and then spend the night, just like WWII sailors.
Relive what it was like to be a World War II submarine shipmate. The USS Cobia is an actual retired WWII submarine that has been converted into a museum. The boys get to tour the museum and then live like the sailors, eating and sleeping overnight on the submarine.
Please contact Dan Kamp, our Outings Chair, to reserve your spot, as space is limited.
Be sure to sign up your scout for summer camp by June 4, 2011. Otherwise rates go up by $15/scout and $15/accompanying adult if paid in full after June 4, 2011.
The camps this year are:
Day Camp - Wolves, Bears, and Webelos (remember, today's Tigers will be Wolves this summer!)
Weekend in Illinois Overnight Camp - Tigers, Wolves, Bears, Webelos
Camp Freeland Leslie-Webelos Resident Camp - 1st and 2nd year Webelos (remember, today's Bears will be Webelos this summer!)
Check with your den leaders to coordinate group attendance. Some Webelos from Pack 26 are already signed up for two of the CFL sessions. If your scout is looking to earn his Cub Scout Outdoor Activity Award (worn on the pocket flap of the uniform), summer camp is one of the requirements.
Don't forget--medical forms are required--be sure you have the appropriate form ready by the deadlines.
Check our our Camping section for more information and links to additional information.
